Frequently asked questions
How is your approach different from a standard relaxation massage?
While relaxation is often a side effect, my primary focus is structural correction. I don’t just treat the symptoms; I look for the root cause of your pain—whether that is a misalignment, scar tissue, or chronic tension pattern—and I work to resolve it for long-term relief.
Will the treatment be painful?
You may experience “therapeutic discomfort”—that “good pain” feeling where deep tension is finally being released. However, I always work with your nervous system, not against it. I will constantly communicate with you to ensure the pressure is effective but never overwhelming.
How many sessions will I need?
For acute pain (like a stiff neck), 1–3 sessions often suffice. For chronic conditions (like long-term sciatica or RSI), I typically recommend a series of 4–6 sessions to retrain the tissue and build Lasting Resilience.
What should I expect immediately after a session?
Most clients feel immediate relief and improved mobility. It is also common to feel some muscle soreness (similar to a post-workout feeling) for 24–48 hours as your body adjusts to its new alignment. This is a positive sign that the healing process has begun.
I have an acute injury or inflammation. Should I come in?
If the injury is very recent (within 48 hours) or highly inflamed, please consult your doctor first. Once the acute inflammation has settled, bodywork is excellent for Accelerated Recovery and preventing scar tissue buildup.
How do home visits work? Do I need a table?
I bring everything required for a professional session. All I need from you is a clear space of approximately 2×3 meters.
Which areas do you travel to?
I travel to clients for a small extra fee of 100 nok within a zone 1 and zone 2 of Oslo. If you live outside this zone, please contact me directly;
Do you offer Online Coaching?
Yes. My online sessions are dedicated to strategy and education. Through video, I can assess your workstation ergonomics, correct your posture, and guide you through specific self-release techniques to manage your own tension.
Do you accept health insurance?
I operate as a private practitioner and do not bill insurance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Consistency is key to recovery. I ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations so I can offer that time slot to another client in pain. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.
